Mary Cassatt Collection
12 works
Mothers, children and domestic light, by the American in the Impressionist circle.
Cassatt painted domestic life — a child being bathed, a woman on a balcony — with none of the sentimentality the subject usually attracted. The compositions owe a great deal to the Japanese prints she collected.
